Publish Your Instrument
A short guide for contributors
Start from the instrument, not from the specs
This is not a catalog.
Before model names or woods, tell us why this instrument matters to you.
Ask yourself:
- How did it come into your life?
- What made you keep it?
- What kind of music does it invite you to play?
Be specific, but only when it counts
You don’t need to list everything.
Focus on what defines the instrument in real use:
- Feel on the body
- Neck comfort
- Acoustic response
- How it reacts to your touch
If a detail doesn’t change the experience, you can leave it out.
Write like you speak to another guitarist
No marketing language.
No hype.
No “best ever”.
Write as if you were telling a fellow player: “This is what this guitar really does, day after day.”
Photos: honest, clean, real
Natural light if possible.
No heavy filters.
Show wear, details, imperfections.
This is not Instagram glamour.
It’s documentation.
One clear closing thought
End with a simple idea:
- Who is this instrument for?
- Or what kind of player will understand it?
- Just a final, grounded sentence.
